Hi to the world wide web!!! Welcome to our little blog space. This blog is going to chronicle JJ's and my first dive into the world of becoming parents....aaahhh!!! This is our first pregnancy and we decided we wanted to try and document it to be printed out later. We also have all of our family on the entire other side of our great country, and what better way to keep them all (like 30-40 ppl) updated then to direct them to this wondrous (hopefully) blog!
Now for a little info about us. JJ and I are high school best friend who later decided to try the dating thing, after many many years of not wanting to ruin the friendship with the dating thing. Well it seems that the dating thing worked out really well, we got married in July of 2006 after 4 years and 4 months of dating. We have been married for just over 2 and a half years and have resided on the wonderful west coast for that entire time. JJ is currently finishing up his graduate degree in architecture and I am just working, not totally using my degree but in this economy a job is a job :) We decided to go off of birth control in May of 2008 and after two months and many many false pregnancy tests later my body had finally regulated itself. We found out we actually were pregnant on December 2, 2008 and this was confirmed by the doctor on December 10, 2008. Our baby is due August 12, 2009. Enjoy this blog and thanks for reading :)

I am the first. At my age being the first at anything is a great surprise.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited. I see you guys in everything I do these days: at church, at school, in Walmart, in my car, just everywhere. I turn on the water in the kitchen and think or bathing the little frog in the sink. I look at my Harley and think of Ribbit learning to ride a tricycle. You are just everywhere.
The other day I talked with a lady who had her first child at 40. I don't usually give advise, but I told her to raise her first like her second. It took a while, but we realized that you could eat a little dirt and still live. Jonathan, did you know that I expected you to spell you name, and it is a long one, at two. I always called you my nuclear experiment. But we just loved you so much. You will learn this soon.
Remember, in the words of a very famous poet, "All you need is Love." With real love, everything else will take care of itself.
Love your momma
I loved that Mom! I want to add, I cannot wait to see the grandparents driving our baby on their motorcycle for the first time. Won't they think you two are the coolest grandparents.
ReplyDeleteI will write something longer later, but I just wanted to say that I love you guys! Call me soon.
